Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

How we can rethink our policies, procedures and practice to create a culture of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

There is no such thing as a single-issue struggle because we do not live single-issue lives.”

In the wake of the #MeToo movement in 2017, and the latest necessary resurgence of #BlackLivesMatter this year, the need for organisations to rethink their policies, procedures and practice around Equality, Diversity and Inclusion has become a critical business and moral consideration.

No longer is it appropriate for us to explore anti-racism, or any other facet of harassment and bullying, in separate and often discrete approaches when the need arises. Accountability and transparency are more important than ever. It’s all too easy to pay lip service to discriminatory issues—publishing statements of outrage and concern, changing images in marketing materials, quick employment of diverse personnel and hoping for the best—when instead we should be enacting real change. With organisations being called out and sometimes ‘cancelled’ for these often token gestures, we’re keen to support organisations in making their strategic moves. We offer real and lasting support for exploring and upholding demonstrable equitable practice and social justice, with depth and sustainability.

Over the last few months, we have been developing a layered and progressive Inclusive Culture Programme, with a view to helping our clients to develop a responsive, accountable and inclusive organisational culture. This involves helping senior managers to develop ways and means of ensuring that their values can be deeply felt by their current and future stakeholders, both within their organisation and beyond.
